Good Things Come…
Nine years since its initial design; nine years of planning, wishing, hoping, confusion, ups, downs and runarounds; Weathered Cyclist tartan is finally a thing. A very beautiful thing.
100% wool, woven in Scotland, this tartan is a bit different. Every thread of this tartan raises money for cycling projects. You can read more about the charity here.
Designing the tartan was the chance for me to go back to my roots, using skills learnt in my degree course at The Scottish College of Textiles, many, many moons ago. It has been a long wait from design to production and a much longer wait since learning the woven design skills.
The old adage, “good things come to those who wait” seems very apt. This project has involved years of waiting, but what a finished product.
Worth waiting for.
